Robert Gordon Pottery is extremely honoured to be working with the Juluwarlu Art Group, and the work of artist Jane Cheedy.
A celebration of culture, language, and pottery; the story of the Yindijbarndi people of the north-western Pilbara region of Western Australia. Jane Cheedy is a respected Yindijbarndi Elder, cultural custodian, linguist, and artist. Jane is dedicated to preserving and sharing the Yindijbarndi language, and has work for many years as a Yindijbarndi language teacher at bothhigh and primary school levels.Jane's artwork often features written Yindijbarndi text, oral recordings of songs, and depictions of the Yindijbarndi plants, animals and important sites.
